THE ATHLETE'S FOOT SIGNS AREA REPRESENTATIVE AGREEMENT FOR BALANCE OF VIRGINIA
Va. Area Rep an Experienced Mentor and Essential Asset to New and Potential TAF Franchisees

ATLANTA - Sept. 22, 2008 - The Athlete's Foot (TAF), a world leader in athletic footwear franchising, recently signed an agreement for the balance of the state of Virginia with long time partner Joe Delphry of Norfolk, Va. Delphry signed his first operating agreement with TAF nearly a decade ago and signed an area representative agreement for the southern half of Virginia in October 2006. On August 28, 2008 he signed an agreement for the northern half of Virginia which allows him the rights to develop TAF throughout the entire state of Virginia. Delphry currently oversees 6 units across Richmond, Virginia Beach and the Hampton Roads area.

Sales at Delphry's stores continue to trend upwards which may be a reflection of his extensive background and knowledge of the retail footwear industry. Prior to his 9 years at TAF Delphry was a district sales manager at Thom McAn Shoes. His comprehensive knowledge of the retail footwear industry positions Delphry as a qualified mentor to new franchisees in the state of Virginia. Delphry is able to advise on everything from site selection to vendor relationships which helps new owners navigate around potential pitfalls.

"Beginning a new business can be a rewarding yet overwhelming challenge," stated Joe Delphry, area representative TAF Virginia. "From real estate to staffing, there are a lot of moving parts to this business, and if there is anything I can do to support my owners I'll do it."

Delphry negotiated his agreement with NexCen Franchise Management, a division of NexCen Brands Inc., (NASDAQ: NEXC), parent company of The Athlete's Foot. He is a member of the TAF Franchisee Advisory Council which works with NexCen Franchise Management to communicate initiatives and issues between TAF franchisees and their parent company. Delphry is also a member of the TAF Marketing Committee and the Urban Buying Committee.

"Mr Delphry is an essential partner to us and a fine representative of the TAF network," stated Chris Dull, president NexCen Franchise Management. "His experience, commitment to his owners and commitment to the brand are pivotal to the success of The Athlete's Foot in Virginia."
