MARBLE SLAB CREAMERY AND FRESHËNS QUALITY BRANDS ANNOUNCE THE OPENING OF THE FIRST CO-BRANDED STORE UNDER A NEW PARTNERSHIP Gourmet Ice Cream and a Healthy Alternative Under One Roof ATLANTA - August 11, 2008 - Marble Slab Creamery and Freshëns Quality Brands have announced the opening of a co-branded store in Woodland Hills, Calif. The co-branded concept is supported by NexCen Brands, Inc. (Nasdaq: NEXC) ("NexCen"), parent company of Marble Slab Creamery. NexCen recently entered into a co-branding agreement with Freshëns, a provider of freshly-blended fruit smoothies with more than 1,200 locations. The new store, located in the Woodland Hills Promenade, is owned and operated by Hamlet Ovsepyan and is the first Marble Slab under the recent agreement to partner with Freshëns. "Freshëns smoothies offer a complementary product line to our ice cream franchise stores," stated Chris Dull, president of NexCen Franchise Management." The franchisees are able to extend their product offering, providing customers with Marble Slab's super premium ice cream and frozen treats, as well as a healthier alternative." By combining Marble Slab's innovative gourmet products with Freshëns blended fruit smoothies, the new store will allow two widely respected brands to accommodate customers under one roof. The one stop location offers something for everyone providing both creamy frozen treats and premium healthy snacks.
